The Southwest Colorado Healthcare Coalition is hosting an informative and engaging workshop on Nov. 16, 2017 about the new CMS Emergency Preparedness Rule impacting all healthcare providers. The new CMS Preparedness Rule requires providers receiving Health First Colorado (Medicaid) or Medicare reimbursement to conduct risk assessments, create emergency plans, train staff, and test these plans with disaster response exercises.
This FREE event will inform and guide participants through the new emergency preparedness requirements that must be in place in order to continue to receive CMS reimbursement. The workshop will be facilitated by Onward Innovation. Two workshop locations and times are available: 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. at the Montezuma County Emergency Operations Center and 2 p.m. – 5 p.m. at the La Plata County Emergency Operations Center.
