We seek someone with exceptional organizational skills, ability to multitask with efficiency, and strong familiarity with data entry and computer skills. SJBPH is hiring a Promotor/Community Health Worker.  Our Promotor Program aims to reduce health disparities in the Hispanic/Latino and other underrepresented populations of La Plata and Archuleta counties through the combination of direct services and enhancing cultural humility.  Our bilingual (Eng/Span) community health workers/promotores offer cardiovascular health screenings, health coaching, health education (platicas), and patient navigation to this targeted population.  Through an emphasis on community outreach, our promotores connect clients with services that address their needs while also focusing their education on the prevention of cardiovascular disease and diabetes.  Bilingual (English/Spanish) required.  The wage for this position is $16.36 – $23.72 an hour plus benefits.  Although the full salary range for this position is provided, appointments are typically made at or near the range minimum.  This position is scheduled to close 7/20/2017, or until an adequate pool is reached.

SJBPH is hiring a Human Resource Director.  The Human Resource Director is responsible for determining and providing leadership in developing and executing human resources strategy in support of the overall strategic plan and strategic direction of the organization, specifically in the areas of culture, change management, talent management, organizational and performance management, training and development, succession planning, and compensation. The HR Director provides strategic leadership by articulating Human Resource needs and plans to the executive management team, staff, and to the Board of Health.  Bachelor’s degree in human resources, organizational development, business or public administration or directly related field and five years of professional human resources experience preferred.  This position pays $33.34 to $50.02 per hour plus benefits.
