San Juan Basin Public Health is hiring a Health Equity Coordinator to implement the health equity work of the Equity in Emergency Preparedness (EEP) project, including overseeing the implementation of project activities and coordination with external partner agencies. EEP will ensure that all people living in Archuleta and La Plata counties have equitable opportunities to prepare for and respond to health events, natural disasters, and man-made emergencies, irrespective of socio-economic attainment, primary language spoken, or disability status. Collaborating with traditionally underrepresented and under-served populations to create resilient, connected communities will support population health and prevent future exacerbation of poor health outcomes stemming from emergencies. Bilingual English-Spanish and an associate’s degree and two years of healthcare, public health, or related experience is preferred. The pay range for this position is $17.80 to $25.81 an hour plus benefits. Although the full salary range for this position is provided, appointments are typically made at or near the range minimum.
