Rocky Mountain Health Plans Coverage Changes for Individuals

woman researching

Local residents who have individual health insurance coverage from Rocky Mountain Health Plans (RMHP) have started receiving notices for RMHP’s discontinuation of individual health insurance in southwest Colorado after December 31, 2016. It is important to note that employer and group plans from RMHP are not included in this announcement. Only individual plans are affected.

If you are a RMHP customer it is important to keep paying for your health insurance through December in order to keep your current plan in effect. These customers will be able to shop for new insurance starting November 1, 2016 and should enroll in a new plan by December 15, 2016 to avoid any gap in coverage.

Enrollment in a new plan can be done at www.ConnectforHealthCO.com. Available there is a list of brokers and assistance sites certified by Connect for Health Colorado offering in-person assistance. Assistance is also available to anyone with questions about health insurance.
