SJBPH believes sexual health is an integral component of overall health and wellness across the lifespan.  We provide wellness exams, contraceptive methods, risk reduction counseling, testing, and treatment for sexually transmitted infections to all people so they can make informed decisions about their reproductive life plan and sexual health. The Sexual Health Clinic provides annual exams, Pap tests, and infection checks.

At San Juan Basin Public Heath, we believe in supporting a patient’s health through preventative screenings. The Women’s Wellness Connection (WWC) provides well woman exams including free breast and cervical cancer screenings, diagnostic testing, and health navigation for women who are uninsured, underinsured, or low-income because everyone should have access to healthcare allowing the prevention and early detection of breast and cervical cancer to allow them to live healthy and prosperous lives.

The Sexual Health Clinic offers birth control (condoms, oral contraceptive pills, NuvaRing, Depo shots, IUD, Nexplanon), emergency contraception (Plan B “the morning after pill”), pregnancy testing, counseling (healthy relationship, sexuality), education, and resources.

The goal of the Colorado Department of Public Health (CDPHE) Family Planning Program is to reduce unintended pregnancy by ensuring all Coloradans have access to affordable, quality contraceptive and reproductive health services.

Our Title X family planning clinic offers a broad range of contraceptive methods and related counseling; as well as breast and cervical cancer screening; pregnancy testing and counseling; screening and treatment for sexually transmitted infections (STIs); HIV testing; and other patient education and referrals.

SJBPH uses a sliding fee scale and accepts Health First Colorado (Medicaid), Rocky Mountain Health Plans, and Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield insurances.

San Juan Basin Public Health provides confidential STI/STD counseling and testing for HIV, chlamydia, gonorrhea, Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, HPV, syphilis, herpes, and trichomoniasis.

Treatment options are available on site for chlamydia, gonorrhea, syphilis, herpes, and trichomoniasis. We also provide vaccinations for HPV and Hepatitis A and B.
